DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure adherence to all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs in a timely manner.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, food preparation standards, and facility maintenance.
  • Achieve company objectives related to sales, service quality, facility appearance, and hygiene through effective employee training and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Follow cash handling and reconciliation procedures as per restaurant policies.
  • Address and resolve complaints regarding food quality and service promptly.
  • Analyze financial statements and performance data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure food and drink quality and flavor consistency.
  • Manage and resolve personnel issues effectively.
  • Implement fair and consistent corrective actions for policy violations at the branch level.
  • Evaluate operational procedures and problems to enhance service, performance, and safety.
  • Organize branch meetings and provide leadership to promote team development and continuous improvement.
  • Manage staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage across all departments.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews for subordinate staff.
  • Oversee the dining area and supervise food and beverage service staff in line with established operating policies.
  • Actively seek, listen to, and respond to guest feedback.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A degree or diploma in Food & Beverage Service or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Strong knowledge of customer service and people management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in operations or service within the food and beverage industry.
  • Effective communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
  • Ability to review Profit and Loss statements.
  • Proven ability to mentor, train, and develop team members.
