  • The Credit Control Officer plays a vital role in managing debtor accounts, enforcing credit policies, ensuring timely collections, and fostering strong client relationships. This position is responsible for compliance with internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), credit policies, and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Reconciliation & Credit Oversight
  • Lead monthly reconciliations of debtor accounts to ensure accuracy and promptly resolve discrepancies.
  • Review reconciled accounts to assess payment status, identify bad debts, and recommend write-offs when necessary.
  • Ensure that statements of account are current, accurate, and communicated regularly to clients.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Sales and Finance) to investigate and resolve complex client account issues.
  • Monitor adherence to credit policies and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Credit Management & Debt Collection
  • Oversee timely collections from credit customers, ensuring compliance with payment terms.
  • Issue monthly statements and collection updates to clients.
  • Enforce company credit policies and maintain debtor days within acceptable limits.
  • Track client payment patterns and credit limits to minimize credit risks.
  • Manage overdue accounts through consistent follow-up and professional communication.
  • Resolve billing issues and negotiate payment plans as necessary.
  • Advise management on client creditworthiness and contribute to the refinement of credit policies.
  • Team Leadership & SOP Compliance
  • Supervise the sales team, ensuring compliance with SOPs and timelines.
  • Monitor for credit policy violations, escalate non-compliance issues, and promote accountability within the team.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Gujarati or Hindi (mandatory)
  • CPA or ACCA qualification is highly preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in credit control or accounts receivable within a hospital or healthcare environment
  • Proven experience in managing customer accounts
  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
