Job Purpose Statement
The Commercial Intelligence & Monetization Analyst will assist the Chief Commercial Officer in formulating and implementing LOOP’s commercial strategy. This role entails developing data-driven frameworks for pricing, monetization, and revenue optimization to boost profitability and enhance LOOP’s market position.
This position merges strategic financial analysis with pricing intelligence and data insights to promote commercial efficiency, robust financial performance, and competitive advantage. The Analyst will collaborate across various departments, including Product, Data Science, Finance, and Operations, to identify monetization opportunities, protect revenue streams, and generate actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
Key Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities)
Financial 10%
- Facilitate value creation through product and process evaluations with stakeholders to assess efficiency and effectiveness, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure consistent tracking and reporting of all process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain cost efficiency in project delivery.
Internal Business Processes 70%
- Oversee and execute the Business Analysis throughout the project lifecycle, which includes understanding business needs and project objectives, and defining Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Use Cases using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Lead and guide business units during the project Start-up and Initiation phase, managing drawdowns, governance, and documentation effectively.
- Conduct business process reviews and support the continuous improvement of banking systems, processes, and personnel across all channels to ensure the bank possesses the necessary platform and capabilities for strategic delivery.
- Manage the testing and user acceptance process to ensure successful implementation of solutions that meet client and business requirements. Oversee application quality assurance and help desk activities, including tracking bug reports and change requests, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Manage operational risks associated with the design and implementation of new or modified business processes and systems.
Customer 10%
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with business and technical teams; act as a resource for technical or business expertise and advice on strategic priorities and projects.
- Support the integration of best practices into the bank’s process re-engineering methodologies and tools, utilizing frameworks such as Mission Directed Work teams and Six Sigma to foster innovation.
- Communicate changes, insights, and plans effectively to cross-functional team members and management.
Learning and Growth 10%
- Focus on personal competence development.
- Complete at least one technical skills certification annually.
- Stay current with technological advancements to automate and modernize systems and processes.
- Conduct research on project-related issues and products to promote continuous improvement.
Job Specifications
Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in data analytics tools (SQL, R, Python) and Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau).
Professional Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in financial modeling, data analytics, and business intelligence.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and advanced statistical analysis is advantageous.
- Strong project management and presentation skills.
Experience:
- At least 6 years of experience in banking, financial services, or digital business, including a minimum of 3 years in credit management, portfolio analysis, or commercial analytics.
- Experience in pricing, revenue assurance, and monetization strategy is preferred.
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
