Role Overview:

The successful candidate will provide critical support to senior management on significant Application Development initiatives, often necessitating collaboration across various organizational units. This role involves designing complex systems and subsystems while leveraging a comprehensive understanding of available technologies, tools, and existing frameworks. The individual will offer in-depth consultation to both business unit and IT management, guiding all phases of application programming across diverse development platforms and computing environments. Close collaboration with clients and IT teams will be essential to identify effective application development solutions, including new or modified programs, code reuse, and the integration of purchased solutions. The candidate will also research and evaluate alternative solutions, recommending the most efficient and cost-effective programming strategies. Responsibilities may include coding new or modified programs, reusing existing code, and integrating purchased solutions, along with documenting, testing, implementing, and providing ongoing support for applications. This role is recognized internally as a key resource for complex Application Development assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain ETL processes.
  • Troubleshoot SQL Server issues.
  • Document requirements and technical solutions.
  • Contribute to T-SQL code modifications under supervision.
  • Assist with data mapping and documentation tasks.
  • Participate in regular releases and monitor data processing batches.
  • Propose improvements based on experience and learning.

Essential Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience with SQL Server or similar database systems.
  • Strong understanding of ETL processes and SQL (SELECT, JOIN, WHERE, etc.).
  • Willingness to learn ETL concepts and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and growing within a team environment.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., C#, VB.net, Python).
  • Experience with source control tools (e.g., Git).
  • Interest in reporting tools (e.g., SSRS).
